Contract approved for E Road Phase 2B

The E Road Phase 2B Mesa County Flood Reduction at Lewis Wash Bridge Project is on the horizon after the Mesa County Commissioners approved a $2,087,324 contract for construction at the Oct. 17 administrative public hearing.

Congratulations, Joaquin Moncada!

Today, the Board of County Commissioners recognized Joaquin, an eight-year-old in our community, for his outstanding character and leadership. Recently, he took it upon himself to remove inappropriate graffiti from the Rocky Mountain Elementary Park playground. He did this to protect his younger peers and ensure that the playground continues to bring children and our community joy.

The Mesa County Co-response was initiated in the summer of 2023 to improve the response to mental health crises and behavioral health issues in the community by integrating clinicians into patrol teams to ensure that individuals in crisis receive specialized support from a dedicated team of professionals.
